Day 3 Tahoe - Ski Day

Oh my ...today I took a ski lesson.....hmmm should a 54 year old try to ski for the first time??...probably not.  Unless of course, you are an athlete LOL
Actually it was fun .... for the first hour or so  :)  Here is a pic from "after" my fun.
I'm tired, will post more tomorrow. :)

Lake Tahoe Vacation - Day 2

My Hubby and I are enjoying a week long vacation in South Lake Tahoe.  He says.."what, no luggage?"  LOL  Yesterday, our vacation started out really smooth..got to the airport on time, sailed thru check-in and scanners, didn't have to wait too long, flight went well..that was until we reached the Reno airport baggage claim and our suitcase with ALL of our clothes was no where to be found.  It did finally make it to our Hotel ...at 1 a.m. in the morning.  I was going to share my thoughts on timeshares, but changed my mind LOL

Anyway, we are having a WONDERFUL time.  Today we just drove around the lake (which took all day), taking pictures and stopping at cool sites and shops, trying to decide what we'll do for the next several days.  Plans are to ski (me take a ski "lesson"), go ice skating, watch the SuperBowl tomorrow, and have fun relaxing in the spa and heated pool at our resort.

Getting started....

Ok, this is my first blog of any type, so please don't laugh too hard..hehehe.
I've been crafting for a very long time and have used many different mediums.
I've sewn since I was a teen and have enjoyed using my embroidery machine for the past few years.  I'm afraid I was turning into a fabricoholic (LOL) ..couldn't pass up a pretty patterned material whether I had a use for it or not!!
I tried my hand at Lampwork Bead making and jewelery but decided that I wasn't ever going to be good enough to make me happy, plus it's too hot in Arizona to play with fire!
This past Christmas my wonderful hubby bought me a Cricut Expression <3 <3  It is totally awesome, and I must say my hubby is too :D
My search for knowledge about using the Cricut is what has brought me here to create this blog.  I have found so many wonderful folks that have been gracious enough to share their knowledge with everyone and I hope to do the same.  I will try to post what I make (whether it is a masterpiece or disaster) and share what information I find along my journey.  I hope I can be as much help to someone as the other wonderful bloggers have been to me....here we go :D
